DATA ENGINEER/ANALYST - REMOTE
ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Data Engineer with Data Analysis experience! This position is 100% remote working eastern time zone business hours. This is a contract position initially running through December 2026 with potential to extend longer or convert to FTE. Job Summary:
  • The Data Engineer & Analyst works across IT and business functions to create and maintain custom reports and/or data files from multiple Access databases and tables while helping drive business decisions with business owners through developing business comprehensive analyses.
  • This role oversees the creation and daily running of mission critical departmental reporting for departmental metric results as well as designing and developing Toad and SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and views. This role will provide presentations, documenting analyses, ensure understanding of the analysis with key stakeholders, and provide support on root causes of trends, issues, and performance gaps based on analyses as well as making and implementing recommendations to drive improvements.
Essential Functions:
  • Design and develop ETL using Toad and SQL Server stored procedures or other tools, functions, and views. Create and maintain custom reports and/or data files from multiple Access databases.
  • Provide oversight for the creation and daily running of mission critical departmental reporting for departmental metric results. Translate business needs into data elements in Access Databases and other data marts to source, extract, and match and modify data to enable reporting efforts.
  • Create and maintain custom dashboards and/or data sources in Tableau and other reporting tools; Extract and aggregate data as needed for reporting.
  • Develop reports and presentations documenting analyses and ensure that key stakeholders understand the business implications for those analyses.
  • Identify, investigate, and document possible root causes of trends, issues, and performance gaps based on analyses and campaign results to determine improvements and recommendations. Perform exploratory data analysis, data cleansing, and data visualization using data mining tools.

Required Work Experience
  • 3+ years related work experience
  • Or 1.5 years' experience in an Associate Data Engineer role or experience in Data Analytics
Required Education
Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
