The Opportunity
Working under the direction of the School Leadership Team, you will ensure student and school data is accurate, secure and readily available to support teaching, learning and school improvement. You will play a key role in the administration of SIMS and related systems, supporting assessment, reporting, admissions, annual rollover processes, and data analysis. Through the production of high-quality reports, dashboards, and insights, you will help colleagues monitor attainment, progress, attendance, and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Records and SIMS: Maintain accurate student records, contact details, enrolment information, teaching groups and allocated datasets. Support admissions, transfers, leavers, and annual rollover processes, working closely with relevant administrative colleagues.
Data Quality Assurance: Undertake regular checks for missing information, duplicate records, and inconsistencies. Investigate discrepancies with relevant staff and implement authorised corrections.
Assessment Administration: Prepare and maintain marksheets, assessment templates, grade sets, and tracking systems. Coordinate collection deadlines, monitor completion and follow up missing or inconsistent submissions.
Student Reporting: Support the preparation, checking, and production of student reports. Ensure that grades, comments, attendance information and student details are correctly populated, coordinating corrections and secure publication through approved channels.
Analysis and Dashboards: Produce accurate summaries of attainment, progress, attendance, behaviour and achievement. Prepare agreed comparisons by subject, class, year group and student group, making definitions and data limitations clear.
Timetable and Class Information: Maintain accurate class lists, subject allocations and timetable information within school systems. Implement approved changes and check that records remain consistent across relevant platforms.
Data Transfers and Returns: Complete approved imports and exports, validating formats, field mappings and record totals. Prepare information for school, QatarEnergy, accreditation, and regulatory returns.
Staff Support and Systems Development: Provide practical guidance on data entry, marksheets and reporting. Maintain process documentation and calendars, support approved system changes, and identify opportunities to reduce duplication and improve workflows.

Desirable Experience:
Working in a school environment.
Knowledge of SIMS.
Experience with Power Query, Power BI or similar reporting tools.
