Experienced Bookkeepers (Min 2 yrs)

We are an established public practice accounting firm in NE with access to public transit
and free parking. We have two immediate full time permanent positions open for
qualified experienced bookkeepers.

The successful candidates will have:
- A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience in public practice a must.
- A strong knowledge in all aspects of bookkeeping is a MUST
Duties
- Able to prepare a full set of books preferably including working papers.
- Assisting Partners with Year End tasks -Prepare and file GST returns
- Calculate and prepare payroll including T4s and T5s.
- Able to interact with clients professionally.
- Communicate and assist clients with various inquiries.
- Prepare financial Statements.
- Be able to obtain information from various government bodies.
- Performed clerical duties; answering phone, filing, scanning faxing.
- Assisting partners with other duties as assigned
Skills
- Proficiency and advanced knowledge of QuickBooks (desktop and online 
- version) is a must.
- Candidates must have a good working knowledge of Excel as this is a
- must for the position.
- Ability to use Caseware would be preferred.
- Experience with preparation of personal income taxes would be preferred.
- Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks as
required.
- Detailed oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are a MUST

New immigrants are welcomed. However, they must have an above average
command of the English language (written & verbal) as well as knowledge of
GST and Canadian Taxes.

Previous public practice experience in a foreign country is A REQUIREMENT
FOR THIS POSITION.
