Role Description

AEI Consultants is currently seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our expanding Land Surveying and Mapping division.

  • Gathering field survey data using GRS/Robotic equipment
  • Performing ALTA Surveys
  • Calculating and determining legal descriptions of property boundaries
  • Operate survey instruments and equipment for a variety of projects such as topographic, ALTA, boundary, construction, etc.
  • Locates and determines land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience required
  • Experience using AutoCAD preferred
  • Previous experience conducting ALTA Surveys preferred
  • Willingness to travel within the United States required (anticipated travel is 1-2 weeks per trip)
  • Resourceful self-starter
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of basic math and the types of measurements related to land surveying including linear, angular, elevations and unit systems conversion required
  • Ability to perform physical movements and operate tools and equipment outdoors in a variety of climates
