IT Help Desk Associate

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States, Florida (USA)

At JC Davis Ventures, LLC dba JC Davis Power, we keep work moving with smart, reliable solutions that allow our people and our partners to stay safe, focused, and ahead. Powering a jobsite shouldn't be a hassle. But too often, crews are left waiting, equipment breaks down, vendors go dark, and deadlines slip.

We started JC Davis Power to fix all of that. We're a full-service jobsite operations partner, delivering and maintaining temporary power, climate control, and tower lighting. All with one reliable crew. No handoffs. No confusion.

We show up, solve problems, and do the work the right way. Whether you're supporting customers in the field, building systems behind the scenes, or helping drive the business forward, you'll be part of a team that values reliability, accountability, and getting the job done.

Simple - Reliable - Done Right!

The Role

We're growing fast, and with each new employee we hire, our IT support needs to grow and evolve. Every new hire needs a laptop, a phone and working accounts on day one. Every crew member in the field needs quick help when a login or permission gets in the way. As our IT Help Desk Associate, you'll be the first stop for both. You'll triage and fix everyday IT issues, and execute new hire onboarding from ticket, to account setup, to shipped devices.

This role is a good fit for someone with a few years of help desk experience, or a recent graduate who's ready to learn fast. You'll start with core support and onboarding. Over time, you'll grow to take on more advanced work across our systems.

This is a fully remote role, but candidates MUST be located here in Texas in either the Austin, DFW, or San Antonio metro areas. Travel to Austin is required for quarterly in-person department meetings.

Working schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with future on-call rotation for weekend support.

What You'll Do

  • Frontline support: Monitor our IT and helpdesk channels and fix everyday issues such as password resets, login problems and access requests across Salesforce, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Quo, Slack and custom internal apps such as TechForms.

  • New hire onboarding: Work each onboarding ticket in Linear from start to finish. Follow our role-based checklist to create accounts, set up MacBooks, iPhones and Windows Toughbooks, and configure cell lines. Responsibility also includes offboarding and device recovery processes.

  • User accounts and permissions: Create user accounts and set permissions in our core platforms, so each person has the access their role needs.

  • Ticket triage and routing: Sort incoming requests, resolving what falls within your scope. Then, following SOPs, route higher level tickets to the right team (IT, Solutions Engineering, or Software Development).

  • Device inventory and shipping: Assist in tracking device stock and flag when it needs reordering. Ship equipment directly to new hires or to the yards where they will be working, and log tracking details in the hire's ticket.

  • New hire IT support: Help new team members get comfortable with our tools and platforms.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of help desk or IT support experience, plus hands-on troubleshooting experience

  • Comfortable supporting macOS, Windows and iOS devices

  • Familiar with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Apple Business Manager, and/or Mosyle

  • Patience in supporting remote users. Providing clear, friendly communication to help diagnose, document, escalate, or resolve issues.

  • Organized and detail-oriented, clearly records your work in tickets

  • Adaptable and eager to learn new tools and processes as we grow

  • Available to provide on-call weekend support on a rotational schedule

  • Self-directed and reliable when working remotely

  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace

Preferred

  • Admin experience in Mosyle, Apple Business Manager, Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365

  • Experience with a ticketing system (Linear, Jira or similar)

  • A recent degree or certificate in IT, computer science or a related field

  • CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Certificate or a similar certification

  • Located near our Elgin or DFW locations and willing to visit on-site as needed

What Success Looks Like

  • New hires have their devices, accounts and access ready on day one

  • Common requests (resets, logins, permissions) are fixed quickly without needing escalation

  • Tickets that need another team reach the right one the first time, with clear notes

  • Device stock stays above minimum levels, so onboarding is never held up waiting for equipment

  • Every ticket is documented well enough that anyone on the team could pick it up

  • Your skills grow steadily, and you take on more advanced systems work over time

What We Offer

We take care of our team so you can take care of the work. Our benefits are designed to keep you safe, supported, and set up for success.

  • Health & Wellness – 100% company-paid medical coverage premiums for you and your family, including spouse or partner and children
