Job Description:

  • Lead Sureel's marketing function end-to-end, including category strategy, positioning, messaging, product marketing, demand generation, thought leadership, brand, and execution
  • Own product marketing across the Sureel stack and translate technical capabilities into value propositions, use cases, differentiation, and messaging for each customer segment
  • Create sales and executive materials, including pitches, case studies, demos, and collateral
  • Build targeted demand among qualified rights holders, AI companies, platforms, and ecosystem partners
  • Build communication channels and programs to educate, nurture, and activate key audiences
  • Lead thought leadership across Sureel and the AI rights and licensing landscape
  • Develop Sureel's brand and market positioning across audiences and channels
  • Own event and industry presence, including conferences, forums, working groups, and communities
  • Turn pilots, integrations, partner outcomes, research, and product data into proof points and case studies
  • Track market narratives around AI rights and licensing and refine Sureel's positioning
  • Support leadership on announcements, conferences, and PR with Warner Music Group brand and communications teams
  • Manage agency, influencer, and creative partners within brand and budget
  • Create repeatable marketing systems, including templates, timelines, budgets, and measurement processes
  • Oversee demo videos and other creative work communicating Sureel's products and value
  • Handle confidential and proprietary information with discretion and integrity
  • Report to Co-President Aileen Crowley and partner with product, commercial, and client functions

Requirements:

  • Deep experience in marketing, product marketing, category creation, or communications across music, media, enterprise technology, or infrastructure
  • Experience owning marketing for a brand or platform from strategy through execution and measuring results
  • Understanding of the music industry and how artists, labels, publishers, and platforms communicate
  • Ability to work with data and financial detail and manage a detailed marketing budget
  • Strong storytelling ability, including making complex technical concepts clear, relevant, and engaging
  • Ability to build trust, exercise judgment around voice and messaging, and know when to escalate
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-moving environment
  • Interest in music, media, and AI
  • Experience as a first or early marketing hire building functions and processes from scratch
  • Experience marketing to artists, labels, publishers, B2B platforms, or infrastructure companies
  • Track record of building awareness and adoption in a focused B2B, technology, or industry ecosystem
  • Experience running email marketing programs
  • Active involvement in AI and music discussions
  • Experience marketing APIs, infrastructure, enterprise software, rights technology, marketplaces, or products involving multiple senior stakeholders
  • Experience translating technical standards, policy developments, research, or emerging industry frameworks into market narratives
