The Opportunity


This posting is for a regular part-time position with hours ranging from 21-30 hours per week. Availability between 8:00 am – 9:00 pm, 7 days a week, including statutory holidays, is required

Eligibility for this position requires residing in the greater Edmonton or Calgary area.

As a Member Sales Representative (MSR-Sales), you will be a key part of AMA's Consolidated Contact Centre (CCC), where you'll connect with members and prospective members daily to help them find the right memberships, products, and services. This role blends consultative sales, member service, and multi-queue flexibility, making it ideal for someone who is energized by hitting targets, building relationships, and contributing to a team that genuinely cares about Albertans.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Drive membership acquisition and retention by managing outbound calling activities and achieving established sales, conversion, and retention targets.
  • Conduct consultative, needs-based conversations to identify member needs and recommend the most appropriate AMA memberships, products, and services.
  • Handle inbound and outbound member interactions professionally, following established service, sales, and quality standards.
  • Promote and enroll members in value-added products and services, including Auto Renew, AMA Gift Cards, eBill, and membership upgrades.
  • Manage follow-up activities to ensure timely outreach, maximize conversion opportunities, and enhance the member experience.
  • Identify and resolve member concerns effectively or escalate issues appropriately to ensure a positive member experience.
  • Support members with online account access and digital self-service tools.
  • Flex between queues based on call volume, service levels, and operational requirements to support CCC service delivery.
  • Maintain accuracy when processing transactions and using membership systems and contact centre tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas that enhance member experience, sales performance, and operational effectiveness.


What You Bring to the Table

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and sales experience, including achieving sales or retention targets.
  • Bonus points if you have experience in a contact centre environment.
  • Experience using customer service, customer relationship management, or sales systems is an asset.
  • Strong sales skills with resilience when handling objections and rejection.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and confidently handle member questions.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and contact centre systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts in accordance with operational requirements, including weekends and statutory holidays.
