Office & Accounting Assistant

Chora Young & Manasserian LLP, a boutique law firm based in Pasadena, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Office & Accounting Assistant to join our team.

This position will primarily provide office and administrative support, while also assisting our Administrative & Finance Coordinator with accounting data entry and routine financial tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, enjoys keeping an office running smoothly, and is comfortable working with numbers and learning basic accounting processes.

Prior law firm or accounting experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Primary Responsibilities

Office & Administrative Support

  • Assist with day-to-day office organization and administrative projects
  • Scan, upload, organize, and maintain electronic records
  • Assist with filing and document management
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory
  • Assist with data entry and updates in Clio and other firm systems
  • Assist with preparing, organizing, and maintaining internal records
  • Provide general administrative support to the Business Manager, attorneys, and staff
  • Help maintain an organized and professional office environment
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as needed

Accounting & Data Entry Support

  • Enter and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Enter credit card and banking transactions
  • Assist with processing and recording client payments
  • Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with invoice and billing-related data entry
  • Review entries for accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Assist the Administrative & Finance Coordinator with routine accounting and bookkeeping tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and client information

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of administrative, office assistant, accounting, bookkeeping, or data-entry experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Clio or other legal practice-management software is a plus, but not required
  • Law firm experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Schedule

  • $21.50–$23.50 per hour, depending on experience
  • Full-time position
  • Monday through Friday
  • In-office position at our Pasadena office
  • Benefits available in accordance with firm policies

We are looking for someone who enjoys being an important part of the day-to-day operations of an office. The right candidate will also have the opportunity to learn our accounting and administrative processes, take on additional responsibilities over time, and grow with the firm. *Location is on the second floor w/no elevator access.

Pay: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
