About the Role

As the paid media department continues to grow, the team is looking for a hands-on leader who combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, team development, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities. The ideal candidate is confident in client conversations, able to represent their work and team effectively, and committed to taking ownership while fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the paid media team, providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction.
  • Manage and optimize paid media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads, and LinkedIn.
  • Oversee a portfolio of approximately 1–5 accounts, depending on complexity, budget, and client needs.
  • Develop paid media strategies aligned with client objectives, budgets, audiences, and broader marketing goals.
  • Review campaign strategies, account changes, reporting, and recommendations to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Serve as a technical resource and escalation point for complex campaign, tracking, performance, and strategy challenges.
  • Coach and train team members, support onboarding, and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the department.
  • Translate campaign data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for internal teams and clients.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance through new channels, audiences, creative approaches, tools, and processes.
  • Build and troubleshoot conversion tracking and measurement using tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Conduct paid media audits and contribute to strategic recommendations for existing and prospective clients.
  • Stay current with advertising platform changes, AI developments, privacy and measurement trends, and emerging paid media opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with significant hands-on experience managing paid advertising campaigns.
  • Advanced experience with Google Ads and familiarity with additional platforms such as Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Proven experience guiding, mentoring, training, or reviewing the work of paid media professionals.
  • Experience managing or overseeing paid media budgets of $100K+.
  • Strong understanding of paid media strategy, campaign optimization, measurement, attribution, and conversion tracking.
  • Solid client-facing experience, with the confidence to join client conversations and clearly represent paid media strategy and the team's work.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to turn campaign data into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • A confident, proactive, and resourceful approach to solving problems and identifying new opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Account Managers and other team members.
  • Must be available to work within two hours of U.S. Central Time.

Nice to Have

  • Google Ads, Google Analytics, or related digital marketing certifications.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, AEO, and broader search strategy.
  • Experience with additional paid media platforms such as Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, or LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, or similar analytics and tracking tools.
  • Experience working with B2B, eCommerce, education, or healthcare clients.
