Based on the most recent information, the time to upgrade to a narrowbody Captain is 3-5 years, with an average salary of $255,000 to $291,000 plus expenses. To upgrade to a widebody Captain typically takes 11-15 years, with an average salary of between $315,000 to $397,000 plus expenses.
