Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their food orders in a timely manner
  • Operate POS systems such as Clover and Square to process retail sales transactions accurately
  • Manage customer orders using food service customer order management techniques, ensuring order accuracy and satisfaction
  • Upsell menu items by highlighting specials and recommended products to enhance sales opportunities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food preparation areas and cashier stations, adhering to sanitation standards
  • Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give accurate change while maintaining accountability
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely when assisting with basic food preparation or food handling tasks
  • Ensure food safety management practices are followed consistently to uphold hygiene standards
  • Assist with operating quick service & fast food restaurant equipment to support efficient service delivery
  • Support team members in serving customers promptly while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or café environments with a strong understanding of the food industry
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Square and Clover for efficient transaction processing
  • Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills to create positive interactions and foster repeat business
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations
  • Previous experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or retail sales transactions is highly desirable
