Specifically, the multifamily Rental sales team works with owners and operators of rental properties throughout the US, helping to connect rental shoppers with the property they will next call home.

About the role

The Sales Manager leads a team that manages and grows strategic relationships with rental partners, driving renewals, portfolio performance, and multi-product expansion across priority segments. The role oversees account planning, performance insights, and cross-functional execution to deepen partner value realization and support Zillow’s Rentals business objectives.


You Will Get To:

- Lead a team of Business Advisors supporting rental partners, setting clear goals, coaching for performance, and fostering an inclusive, customer-centric culture.
- Develop and execute portfolio-level account strategies that strengthen renewals, expand adoption across Zillow Rentals solutions, and grow revenue within your assigned segment.
- Use performance data and market insights to diagnose partner needs, deliver clear recommendations, and influence partner roadmaps to improve listing quality, lead volume, and conversion outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics to resolve escalations, implement enhancements, and ensure a seamless end-to-end experience for rental partners.
- Establish and refine operating mechanisms (cadence, playbooks, metrics) for the business advisor team to drive consistent execution, forecast risk, and track impact against business goals.
- Represent the voice of strategic rental partners in planning discussions, providing structured feedback and insights to inform product roadmaps, go-to-market motions, and portfolio-level initiatives.
- Champion inclusive, consultative account management practices, modeling effective stakeholder management and developing team capabilities in negotiation, storytelling with data, and long-term relationship building.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $100,900.00 - $161,100.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia the standard base pay range for this role is $95,900.00 - $153,100.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation and equity awards. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience in account management, client success, sales, or business development roles, including significant exposure to digital marketplaces, SaaS, or rental housing solutions. - 2+ years sales leadership experience, including implementation and ongoing management of goal setting, accountability metrics, and pipeline management. - Consistent track record in meeting and exceeding sales goals in a growth and retention model. - Ability to lead through ambiguity and in an ever-evolving, fast-paced environment. - Excel at coaching sales teams on handling a complex sales process that may include multiple decision makers and influencers. - Strong presentation skills, influencing multiple levels within an organization, including at the C-level with outstanding communication skills, both oral and written. - Strong working knowledge of CRM software – preferably Salesforce. - Available to travel up to 50% to meet with industry decision makers in corporate marketing as well as at divisional and national levels.
