<strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>Under general supervision, is responsible for performing semi-skilled work of a routine nature in the operation and minor maintenance of a light to medium size truck. Exercises no supervision.<br><br><strong>Work Location<br><br></strong>Culebra Warehouse - 6802 Culebra Road San Antonio, TX 78238<br><br><strong>Work Schedule<br><br></strong>Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM<br><br><strong>Essential Job Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Collects refuse from park grounds.</li><li>Responds to calls for the pick-up of dead animals and prepares daily reports of animals picked up.</li><li>Performs labor and maintenance duties, including loading and unloading truck, frequently lifting and carrying equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Cleans and inspects the vehicle to ensure proper maintenance and safe operating condition.</li><li>Operates flat-bed, stake body, pick-up, light cargo, or water sprinkler truck and simple attachments such as pumps and tow light trailers.</li><li>Operates trucks used to haul laborers, materials, and light equipment to road maintenance and construction sites.</li><li>Operates truck spray units used in insect and rodent control.</li><li>Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.<br><br></li></ul>Job Requirements<br><br><ul><li>Formal or informal training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.</li><li>One (1) year of professional driving experience.</li><li> Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Applicant Information <br><br></strong><ul><li>Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months.
