<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Warehouse Material Handler</strong></p><p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Sorrento Valley - 1st shift 8AM-4:30PM - $25-$28/hr</strong><p><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The Material Handler supports a growing warehouse operation by receiving raw materials, accurately documenting and organizing inventory, and ensuring materials move efficiently through the stock room and into quality inspection. This role plays a key part in building and improving warehouse processes, performing cycle counts, and assisting with picking and packing commercial products while collaborating closely with quality and other internal partners.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Receive raw materials and ensure all incoming shipments are accurately documented and logged.</li><li>Place received materials correctly in the stock room and organize inventory within designated bins and locations.</li><li>Perform inventory control tasks, including regular cycle counts, with the expectation that the frequency and volume of cycle counts will increase over time.</li><li>Move inventory to the proper locations and adjust bin assignments as needed to maintain an orderly and efficient stock room.</li><li>Support picking and packing activities for commercial products as required.</li><li>Work closely with quality personnel to move materials to incoming inspection in a timely manner.</li><li>Verify that documentation accompanying incoming materials is complete, accurate, and free of discrepancies, and flag any issues for resolution.</li><li>Use ERP systems to record inventory transactions, track materials, and support warehouse best practices.</li><li>Communicate effectively with internal partners using tools such as Microsoft Teams and Outlook to coordinate material movements and resolve inventory questions.</li><li>Perform data entry related to inventory control, shipping and receiving, and material tracking with a high level of accuracy.</li><li>Apply warehouse best practices and contribute recommendations to improve processes, organization, and efficiency.</li><li>Drive to a local FedEx location when needed to support shipping and receiving activities.</li><li>Handle flammable materials and items stored in large freezers in accordance with established safety procedures.</li><li>Transfer materials into a cleanroom environment when required, including properly gowning up to enter the cleanroom.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience with inventory control tasks, including performing cycle counts.</li><li>Practical experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse or stock room environment.</li><li>Ability to work with and navigate an ERP system to manage and track inventory.</li><li>Strong understanding of warehouse best practices and material handling procedures.</li><li>Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Experience with picking and packing processes for commercial products.</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.</li><li>Ability to safely handle flammable materials and items stored in freezers according to safety guidelines.</li><li>Capability to follow documentation requirements and verify that incoming material records are complete and correct.</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel locally to FedEx as part of shipping and receiving duties.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Preferred experience working in environments that follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).</li><li>Background in medical device or pharmaceutical warehousing or manufacturing is highly desirable.</li><li>Comfort in making recommendations to improve warehouse processes, organization, and efficiency.</li><li>Interest in helping grow a small warehouse operation into a larger, more complex environment over the next few years.</li><li>Potential to develop into a supervisory or leadership role as the warehouse team expands.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with quality and operations teams in a regulated environment.</li><li>Strong sense of ownership and initiative in building and refining warehouse practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You will join a small, ambitious organization with a strong desire to grow, giving you the opportunity to make a visible impact on how the warehouse operates and evolves.
